The drama triangle represents the social behavior and communication patterns between people in three different roles. These fixed patterns cause people to be ‘trapped’ in the triangle, often unconsciously. Now that you know them, you’ll immediately recognize them in your surroundings (oh my god…..)

De dramadriehoek geeft de sociale gedrags- en communicatiepatronen weer tussen mensen in drie verschillende rollen. Deze vaste patronen zorgen ervoor dat men ‘opgesloten’ zit in de driehoek. Vaak onbewust. Nu je ze kent herken je ze meteen in je omgeving (ohh mijn hemel…..)

In the 1960s, Stephen Karpman recorded the Drama Triangle in his book Fairy Tales and Script Drama Analysis.
The Drama Triangle describes three roles that you may, to varying degrees, assume in interactions with others. One role more than the other, depending on the situation you’re in. The following roles are part of the Drama Triangle:

  • Persecutor
  • Rescuer
  • Victim

De dramadriehoek beschrijft drie rollen die jij in meer of mindere mate wel eens vervult in interactie met andere mensen. De ene rol wat meer dan de andere, afhankelijk van de situatie waarin je zit. De volgende rollen maken onderdeel uit van de dramadriehoek:

  • Aanklager
  • Redder
  • Slachtoffer
